
Olivier Pastore
Research Assistant
Olivier is a Research Assistant with the BSRG, and was a Master Student in 2024 focusing on enhancing beach safety, particularly at unpatrolled beaches. His Masters research sought to evaluate the effectiveness of Emergency Response Beacons (ERBs), a public safety equipment installed on unpatrolled beaches to extend the reach of lifesaving operations. He enjoys understanding the surf zone dynamics to improve safety measures and reduce incidents. He is currently working on BSRG projects related to lifesaver/lifeguard patrol hours and conducting surveys in National Parks.
