Dr Michael Tran

Researcher, School of Population Health, UNSW Sydney

Dr Michael Tran is an early-career academic general practitioner at UNSW. He co-convenes the primary care program. He works part time in clinical practice with a broad range of interests including sports medicine, mental health, women and children's health and dermatology. His research interests in medical education encompasses GP registrar and medical student education. Michael is a keen ocean swimmer and patrolling lifesaver with Surf Life Saving Australia. He is also an advocate for environmental protection and awareness of the health impacts of climate change. His interest in preventive medicine as a GP and enjoyment of the ocean and outdoors finds a natural alignment with the work of the Beach Safety Research Group.
